JOB TITLE: STORAGE ANALYST
Urgent vacancies exist for STORAGE ANALYSTS with 5+ years experience in UNIX/LINUX, SAN and NAS environments.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/ Electronic Engineering/ Technology related field.
Candidates must possess the following certifications: SUN Certified System Administrator SCSA, NetApp Certified Storage Associate, NetApp Certified Storage Data Management Administrator (NCDA) and EMC Proven Professional Associate (EMCPA). Additional Qualifications will be an added advantage.
COMPETENCIES:
1. Provide design and operational support processes and services for EMC, NetApp and IBM platforms as well as it Storage Area Network (SAN) switching environment. This includes thorough understanding data replication techniques.
2. Partake in all levels of storage related support required for disaster recovery schemes.
3. Administer SUN virtual Tape Library system (VTL) in a Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure environment.
4. Provide support for Symantec Veritas NetBackup 6.5 for data enterprise backup to tape.
5. Relate with ITIL and Service Management principles.
6. Able to thrive in a highly technical, rapidly changing environment.
7. Experience performing competitive analysis of SAN, NAS, and Virtualization functions from multiple vendors.
8. Manage and support NetApp enterprise storages.
9. Must be proficient with UNIX (SUN SOLARIS) and LINUX server administration.
