CHINESE multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, has expressed optimsim of playing top in Nigeria’s smartphone market.
To achieve this, the company said that it was focusing on churning out smartphones that would meet the yearnings of mobile device savvy Nigerians.
Speaking in Lagos at the weekend, at the launch of its new HUAWEI Ascend P6, which it described as the world’s slimmest smartphone, Managing Director, Huawei Consumer Business Group West Africa, Tony Liang, the device features a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and a sleek metallic body. With its 4.7-inch high definition in-cell display, industry-leading 5MP front-facing camera, and outstanding software, the HUAWEI Ascend P6 is the embodiment of elegance with an edge.
“The HUAWEI Ascend P6 is a star among smartphones with its industry-leading design, high-quality camera, and intuitive user interface, Huawei’s proprietary Emotion UI. At the market activation of the product at the Ikeja Shopping Mall, Lagos, customers were seeing jostling to have a glimpse and making enquiries.
Marketing Director, Yolanda Zhang who led a team of promoters to the mall noted that the product had sold over 100 copies within four hours of activation.
Furthermore, the Managing Director said that the HUAWEI Ascend P6 was ultra slim at 6.18mm and weighs just about 120g. While it is small enough to slip into the tiniest of pockets or clutch bags, the stylish HUAWEI Ascend P6 is designed to be seen and coveted!
