PRINCESS JOINS POLITICS

Princess Olusola Adedoyin, ex-Managing Director of the defunct City Express Bank, is set to contest for the Senatorial seat of Kwara South constituency in Kwara State under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP). The seat is currently being occupied by Senator Simon Ajibola.

54- year-old Adedoyin, who is also a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, is one of the  popular aspirants vying for the position in her constituency and her campaign slogan is: “Child of Destiny”.
Society Happenings gathered that her ambition was inspired by pleas from her people who had been neglected due to lack of proper representation in the parliament.
Apart from her track record in the private sector and the fact that she has a deep war chest to prosecute her aspiration, Adedoyin, daughter of the Kwara State-born multi-millionaire, Chief Samuel Adedoyin, is also reported to be very close to the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan.

Adedoyin is the founder and head of MariaSam Foundation, a non-profit organisation “that is seamlessly and strategically structured to explore functional and reliable means to help the less privileged and lonely ones who cannot afford medical expense or do not have the needed environmental support for the treatment and management of  cancer.”  She founded the Foundation after her successful battle with cancer.
